LA Students Participate in Mock Election

Leake Academy Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors to Vote in Nation's Largest On-Line Student Mock Election

The American Government class at Leake Academy will be conducting a mock election October 18-28. Students will use a state-of-the art electronic voting system as they participate in a mock election program sponsored by the Youth Leadership Initiative (YLI), a national civic education program based at the University of Virginia Center for Politics. With more than one million students expected to vote online during the two-week voting period from October 18-October 28, the YLI Mock Election is the leargest secure online mock election in the nation.
