Bug Builders

The seventh grade class recently did a lab called Bug Builders. They were asked to imagine that they were a designer for a toy company that made toy alien bugs. The president of the company wanted a new version of the space bugs, but he wanted to use the bug parts that were already in the warehouse. It was their job to come up with a new bug design. They have been studying how traits are passed from one genreation to another. They used that knowledge to come up with new combinations of traits and assemble the bug parts in new ways.
