Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Mrs. Sudduth's 10th grade A&P students obtained thier Heartsaver CPR Certification on 5/2/06.  The Heartsaver CPR course is designed to teach high school students both adult and pediatric (infant/child) cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The course presents information about the American Heart Association adult chair of survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking in adults. The course also presents information about the American Heart Association infant and child chain of survival, signs of breathing ememergencies, choking in infants and children, prevention of sudden infant death syndrome, and prevention of the most common fatal injuries in infants and children. The students are required to take a written test in the successfully performed CPR skills on an adult, child, and infant mannequin. Congratulations to all the sophomores who received their Heartsaver CPR certification.
