Stefanie Vamenta from Leake Academy, along with Shelly Osborn, represented Central Electric Power Association at the Electric Power Associations of Mississippi Youth Leadership Workshop in Jackson. The two were selected from nominees from area schools in an interivew process last fall.
During the workshop, the two juniors participated in leadership and team building exercises, listened to motivational speakers, visited the Mississippi Legislature, and participated in a question and answer session with Lieutenant Governor Amy Tuck. Both will continue on to the NRECA Youth Tour in Washington in June.
