Bug Builders

Mrs. Sudduth's 7th grade science classes have been studying heredity and how traits are passed from one generation to another. They recently completed a lab to help them better understand heredity.

The students had to imagine that they were designers for a toy company that makes toy alien bugs. The president of the Bug Builders, Inc., wants new versions of the widely popular Space Bugs. Using their knowledge of how traits are passed from one generation to another, the students assemble and the bug parts in many new ways. They had so much fun making the space bugs. Some of them even enjoyed eating them!
