Mr. Jeff Breazeale's Parent-Led Activity
ON February 1, 2007, Mr. Jeff Breazeale shared a forestry video with Mrs. Lorrie Stokes's K-4 class. This very interesting video explained the life cycle of a tree--from planting seedlings to cultivation, to lumber being used to build houses. He also discussed the fact that trees are renewable by replanting. The students loved describing and listing different products that are made from wood. On a warmer sunny day, Mr. Breazeale intends to lead the class on a brief fieldtrip around the football field to more closely examine trees and their characteristics.
