Leake Academy Cheer Camp 2007
LA Girls Rock
The Leake Academy Cheerleaders sponsored Cheer Camp 2007 "LA Girls Rock" on May 17 at the Joe F. Shepard Gym on the campus of Leake Academy. Eighty-six campers from pre-k through fifth grade attended. The cay consisted of learning chants, cheers, dances, making locker posters and learning basic stunts. This was just a glimpse of what the cheerleaders do during the year. The girls were presented certificates of participation and presented a short presentation for their parents at the end of the day.
On September 7, the Leake Academy Rebel Football team will play the Canton Panthers at home. During halftime of the game, the cheer campers will perform one of the cheers, chants and dances that they learned.
